All eligible athletes are to fill the 2023 OAU WAUG CHAMPIONSHIPS registration form online by accessing the website on https://sports.oauife.edu.ng/registration and then click on Registration.

The athlete should bear in mind that a passport photograph copied from JAMB website (soft copy) of not more than 50 KB in size will be required for uploading.

It is mandatory for every athlete to provide the UTME REGISTRATION NUMBER on the registration form.

After a successful on line registration, a copy of registration form bearing a coloured JAMB passport photograph should be printed in colour and must be duly signed by appropriate authorities as indicated on the form.

The e-verification exercise is expected to hold on-line at dates and venues to be decided by WAUG Council/executive.

All participating Universities are expected to have a functional portal and must ensure that their websites are accessible during the period of e-verification. Any University whose portal or any student whose data cannot be accessed shall be deemed ineligible for the games.

The portals of the participating universities are to provide the following information on the athletes: (i) bio data with passport photographs of the athletes (ii) academic results on semester basis (iii) evidence of registration such as current course registration form, payment of tuition fees. Please note that (i) and (iii) are mandatory.

IT experts from the participating universities are expected at the venues of the e-verification exercise.

A prepared list (Excel worksheet) of athletes on sports basis indicating surname, other names, Matriculation number, UTME number, sex, course, sports.

The list of athletes for each sport must not exceed the number specified by WAUG. Any extra names will not be verified.

Postgraduate students are equally expected to register on-line and upload recent coloured passport photographs. They are to print and sign the registration forms appropriately and submit same to the IT experts. Original copies of the NYSC discharge certificate in addition to the admission letter are to be presented at the venues of e-verification exercise. PG portals are expected to be functional during this period.
